This adventure is from August 2, 2019, the Mountain Dale Rail Trail to old grey road bridge 13 Mile bike ride. It took us about an hour and half to do 13 miles going in and out. You will ride thru a few historic towns while cruising down the trail trails.
We started in Mountain Dale NY and turned around at a history bridge that is closed off but you can still walk on it for pictures. On this ride I actually didn’t take any pictures of the bridge. We have done this ride maybe a dozen times so you will see the bridge in future posts. =)
Here are a few pictures I have on my phone from this mountain bike ride on the Mountain Dale Rail Trail. Right now we are just going through our phones and posting all the hikes and hike rides we have done in the past. We will give more detailed guides in the future when we start doing new hikes and get fresh content.
This is a very quiet trail, its not usually busy. You can actually rent mountain bikes for really cheap at Cinder Bicycles in Mountain Dale NY. The bike shop is right next to the Rail Trail, so you rent the bike and start peddling as far as you can go. You can take this trail all the way towards Liberty NY, but there is some riding on the streets. During the summer month the streets can get congested with summer drivers, so be careful along those sections of this ride.
