Bashakill Vineyards Winery
If you’re looking for a nice glass or bottle of wine, you have to check out Bashakill Winery. The winery is a hidden gem in Wurtsboro and nestled against the woods. In the front of the Bashakill vineyard, you can see the grape vines and relish the greenery that surrounds it. If you’re sitting outside you can enjoy beautiful views of the water across the street.
The water views are of the Bashakill Wetlands. This is a great place for kayaking and fishing. You will also see a wide assortment of birds such as ducks, herons, and bald eagles, as well as muskrats, and snapping turtles. Another thing you can do is walk the trail which is part of the Long Path and Shawangunk Ridge Trail.
During the Coivid-19 pandemic, they made it easier for customers to get their favorite wines by adding an outside wine box. You can call in or message them, send the money through Venmo and pick-up your wine at the gate.
